I just got an Acer Liquid E1 from Rogers here in Canada, and I love the phone.
I have figured out most the things I wanted it to do by searching these forums, but am looking fora few answers:
1. Is the battery a lithium ion battery? Meaning, do we have to train these batteries? I am quite used to the Blackberry batteries that don't require training, and can be "topped off" at any time.
2. Can I remove all the Rogers crap installed on the phone, and all the "default" applications that came with it? Seems a shame to waste space for apps that I will never use.
3. I realize with the larger screen, (better screen) and being a touch screen phone, can I do anything subtle to improve the battery life? I have turned off the GPS and location service on the phone, and setup wireless, but only turn it on when I am actively using it. Is there anything else I can do?
4. How do I set the default storage path for pictures and what not from the camera? Are these saved to the phone or sd card by default? (I have an 8gb card in the phone)
That is about all I can think of at this time, but I am sure I will have more questions. So far the switch to the Android system has been _very_ painless for me. I should have done it sooner.
