Hi, I just switched from an iPhone 5s just two days ago.

I am having trouble with group messages.
As an example, lets say there are four users in a group chat, 1 android, 3 iPhones.

It seems that if I'm participating in the group chat, all the iPhone users can see my messages, but I cannot see reply messages. After some testing, it seems that if an iPhone initiates the group chat, I will be able to see their messages, only theirs (and not the others). I have MMS enabled... I have also tried some third party apps (Google Hangouts, Textra, but to no evail).

I am using an LG G3, if that makes a difference.

Lastly, I use SPRINT. What network mode should I be in (Global, LTE/CDMA, CDMA, GSM/UMTS). Currently, I am on Global, which was the default. My house is in an area with dodgy phone connection for sprint, but I spend most of my time where there is a decent connection (3G I believe).

Thanks

sounds related to imessage but not exactly sure. If all apps do it it's an issue before it hits you (carrier, etc)

Could it be an issue with iMessage, still? I watched a video on YouTube explaing that I should have de-registered my iMessage account from my iPhone (or something along those lines) so that the messages don't get caught up in Apple services...?

I still think it's related to imessage. Apple routes phone sms messages through their system when you use imessage and when you get off it, things like this happen. If you still have the iphone I think there's a setting to not use it anymore. I believe it should still work over wifi to turn it off.

I factory reset my iPhone because somebody else is going to be using it soon. Is there anything I can do? I theoretically could set up my iPhone the way it was two days ago and do something from there...??

I disabled it, but I may need to have had the phone active for anything to actually work...

Does anybody have any other options I can pursue??

if you do this on your iphone you may need to put your sim card back in so it knows your phone number
OK, I just activated my iPhone, deactived iMessasge, then reactivated my LG G3. I will have to wait and see if group messages work.

Also, it may be worth noting that I did not switch SIM cards ( I have separate ones in each phone). Would this really affect anything?

Thanks...
