NEW APP: A timer to record audio from the MIC

Hi everybody. Just wanted to tell you about a new app that allows to set a timer and let your Android device do the rest: register anything it can "hear" from its mic at the specified date and time.
No output, no beeps or anything else, it will just start recording and put it into your SD.
The app is called "TimedRecorder" and is available on the market.

This is a very nice forum, I've been lurking for some time but now I want to be a part of it.

That sounds useful. How about an option so that it only records when it hears something? Maybe stop saving after two seconds of silence?

That would save a lot of storage and listening time.

Great idea, galt. Going to investigate into it, but I'm not sure that the android APIs will allow something like that so that would be quite complex. But it might be a nice challange

Just to be clear, I was thinking you could leave the mic open but process the audio stream prior to saving it.

Yes, some kind of post processing...mumble...yes, I think it can be done...going to investigate into it
