we've started on a new app and I wanted to check for feedback (and see that it hasn't been done before).
The app sits on a person's smartphone and logs their location in the background every couple minutes. At the end of the week, it provides a report to the user, including:
- how far they travelled
- how long their commute was
- how long they were at work
- how many times they went to the gym
- how many stores they visited
The user could then:
- see how they compare against other people in their area (or their friends)
- learn about events in their area
- learn about deals at places they already shop
So, the question for you might be:
1) Do you know of anything similar or competing?
2) Is it something that you would use? If so, want to sign up to be a alpha tester?
