so just got my chromecast and the first thing i try is some pics, which works ok.
am wondering if there is an app for pics that does a slideshow too?

and then the second thing i tried was a TV show i got from everyones fav tv channel.

picture looks great using allcast BUT NO AUDIO.
i've read that chromecast does not support dts audio (or was it aac?) so i'm curious, is this a hardware issue or is it that google does not want to have this extra (although extremely popular, as in used in nearly every TV rip and many movie rips) audio codec?

would this popular but yet missing audio codec be coming anytime soon?

and lastly, whats a great video chromecast app?
allcast is ok at best IMHO.

thanks everyone!

heres a link to all formats supported by chromecast:

https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/media

if you have a local file thats not in this format you can easily convert it using a lot of different programs...... handbrake is free and works as well as any other

as for players....... I use Avia...... seems to work best IMO.... I use it to stream movies/tv as well as play local files
