New Cube effect type Home Replacement

That is very sweet! I'm still kinda of new to the Android scene (havn't even got a phone yet...lol), but...

1) Do most of these apps work across phones (for example, will it work on Droid, the phone I plan on getting?)

2) Does the phone need to be rooted to use an app like this?

1) Yes it should work on the Droid , If not Don't worry I'm sure the Dev will be working on it. He {the developer} simply has to do something to support Multiple screen Sizes hence making it compatible. If your not happy with the app , The Android Market has a 24 hour refund policy too. ;)

2) I beleive your phone does not need to be Rotted to use this. It doesn't mention ROOT in the Description. :)

3) Get your Android! :p

reminds me of that new lg os they are using on their phones. idk but im not a fan but to each their own. im all for this being a mod tho long as it don't become the regular way to transition
 
This "cube" has been out for quite some time, just not on the Android OS. I believe it was originally introduced on the HTC 6900 aka Vouge aka Touch (1st Gen) aka Elf ( I know because I had this phone through Alltel when it was first released). The android version has DEFINITELY improved on it, making it MUCH more smoother
 
I'm using this on my Droid. Cube transitions are just one of the options; interestingly enough, Fade transitions are smoother and quicker than the standard transition with the default android home (and look better too!) Definitely a plus in my book.
 
I love it! I do have one question as far as the app dock - there doesn't seem to be a way to delete a dock once you've put it on the screen. The only way I found was to uninstall and reinstall gde. Also, is there any way to put a widget in the dock?

if u want delete the application dock : do a long pressssss on this widget ,on the extrem right or the extrem left ....move it or slide it to your trash

I have this app running on my mt3g runs real smooth and looks great i added the hero theme on mine and i couldnt be happier
