New droid user, quick question

Hi all, new One X owner here. and completely new to Android as well. finally made the decision do drop my iphone 4 (and im an apple tech lol). loving this phone, blows the iphone out of the water in my opinion. still adjusting but loving it. have one quick question though, every time i unlock my phone it displays the birthdays from calendar i guess from facebook. is there a way to where it will only show me one time or to disable it after viewing it?

I think it stays there for the whole day of that persons birthday.

What lockscreen style are you using?

I think if you use the productivity lockscreen this option will appear, you can select a blank lockscreen and they won't show up.

yes its on the productivity screen. i like that it pops up with them, just dont like looking at it all day. oh well. maybe ill just switch to a different lock screen for a while. and the birthday isnt even until tomorrow lol

I might be wrong on that though as I've never used that lockscreen.

Have you tried dragging the notification into the ring on the lockscreen and seeing if that makes it disappear?

EDIT: I've just tried it on my HOX and dragging the notification into the ring means it doesn't show again.

I had a Facebook birthday notification and a new email and dragged both of them into the ring one at a time and now both of them don't show on my lockscreen :)

yea whenever i drag it into the ring it just pulls up the calendar with that specific date. like i said, not to worried about it. ill mess with some of the settings or just unsync my calendar with FB

And stays there the next time you go to your lockscreen? Strange cause mine disappear after that.

You sure you're dragging the notification into the ring rather than dragging the ring up to unlock?

yea drag it straight down into the ring and it says drag into ring to activate. i even turned notifications off in the settings and its still there. odd.
