New fish in the pond!

I picked up an LG Optimus from MetroPCS about 2 months ago and I would have to say this little phone is MUCH better than the blackberry 8520 I was using before! I have lately been looking to root the phone because of all the bloatware and such. I took computer science my senior year of high school (Class of 2011 whoo!!) but so far nothing I learned there seems to carry over to doing this! I'm just a fresh mind looking to build some new knowledge.
