Help New G Pro user - lockscreen music controls???

Hello all... just got a G Pro. Wow! Fantastic phone, love everything about it; especially the unbelievable battery life.

Coming from Samsung GS3/GS4 ... where all audio-based apps would have their controls just appear on the lockscreen. Can't seem to find a settings option to allow Google Play Music controls to appear on the lockscreen on my G Pro???

Hopefully; someone has a pointer ???

Controls are in the pull down notification on lock screen.
