New Google Maps Version

Has anyone been able to get this new version of Google Maps that syncs Starred places from your desktop to your phone?

This feature (accessing starred places) is one of the few things I miss about my Windows Mobile phone.

How do you do that? I have Google Maps version 3.1.2 on my Sprint HTC Hero (Android 1.5)...

Press the menu key and the should be a "layers" option, select that and then select "more layers" which should then show an option for "My Maps."


Edit: My version is 3.3.1 I think. Under Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Menu > Filter > All > Maps You can see the version and mine says 3318.

When I press menu, I have these buttons:
Search Directions Map mode
My Location Lattitude More

Under More, I have:
Clear Map
Terms, Privacy & notices

It comes with 1.6.

Ah cool -- still I think Sprint is skipping 1.6 on the hero? dunno

Yeah, I have been searching the Marketplace for Google Maps, but not finding anything. I was just wondering if other people have been seeing it out there. I guess I will wait some more.
