Help New GPS Issue (no GPS lock)

Hi everyone,

Have had my phone for over a month and a half now and GPS navigation was working fine before, but last couple weeks, have had tons of trouble with GPS getting a lock. Won't even get a lock tonight at all. GPS Status app shows 26-28 satellites in view, but none in use. 1 or 2 seem to pop into use briefly, then lose lock again. It's rainy tonight, but I've been having this problem the last couple weeks, both in sunny California and now in Chicago, where it won't lock onto a satellite. I tried using both the GPS Status and GPS Test apps mentioned in other threads to try and clear the A-GPS data. Location services enabled are standalone and Google services, Verizon not enabled. I did try enabling the Verizon services to see if it would help, but it did not. Any other suggestions? This is a pretty big problem for me as I'm driving around quite a bit and use navigation often.

Thanks

Yeah,
First I would download an app like atomic clock and see how my clock differed from atomic time.

Do you have the correct Timezone set?

Second I would see if AGPS Injector download could help.

If you are only "seeing" 2 sats, you have an issue. You need at least 4 for a fix if I remember correctly.

The only other thing I can think of is backing up your files and contacts (or making sure they are synced with Google) and doing a Factory Reset.

If that doesn't work, I would say, time to get a replacement device.
