Help new guy ,wireless issue

hey there. first post, first time android or any smartphone user, any how
i have question and issue with wifi, First off, get my x10 , try to hook to my home wifi, goes to obtaining ip then fails. do a factory reset , same thing, so i change wpa2(enhanced) to open, it connects!!, reset to wpa(enhanced) it fails, so try just wpa and it works. So I must assume wpa+ and wpa enhanced are not compatible with the phone. Also i have trouble connecting with other open networks, any ideas? thanks

My X10 connects just fine to WPA/WPA2 WIFI. So it could be your router setup. I'm guessing it's not set up for, or compatible with WPA2, since you seem to be connecting to it via WPA. Log into your router and check the wireless settings. Why you cannot connect to certain OPEN networks; well keep in mind that you may still have to log in via a browser, what many hotspots require. Hope that helps...
