new handset - your opinions please

ive got an upgrade at the end of the month and its going to be an X10 or a Desire. Im coming from a HD2 so im familiar with HTC, but maybe I would like something different.

The X10 looks good, but have SE got over their reliability issues over the last 2-3 years? ..... Im looking for a good music player over a camera phone, but other than that I think I would be happy with either.

Reasons for and against please - thanks in advance!

Desire has Android 2.1 and HTC Sense UI - which is awesome

X10 has a nice UI but is not going to get 2.1 for a while yet

I've heard nothing but good about the desire and quite a bit of bad aboutthe x10. Freezing is a common complaint.

I don't use my desire for music too much but it seems ok.
