NEW Home Replacement Launcher

Damn, there goes a lot of homework time! Haha, thanks, i'll check it out

EDIT: Wow, this launcher has the potential to take down Launcher Pro, imo! Nice mix of Miui ROM (with the way you can edit homescreen), iphone (with the jiggly icons at times), and launcher pro with much else. Also VERY smooth (pre-widgetfied).

Competition only makes things better!

DOUBLE EDIT: Okay, everything is setup, and this might actually be my new default launcher. That would be a new browser and launcher the same week after at least 6 months of using Launcher Pro and Dolphin Browser. This is just so much more smoother than LP+. There are 4 things I absolutely need changed though. This is with a live wallpaper. In Launcher Pro, there's a little delay

1. Apps in alphabetical order instead of by "most used" - too confusing
2. Widgets. The only one I really need is something like Friendstream
3. Resizable Widgets
4. Swipe gesture method for bookmarks. :)

Once Fede for LauncherPro releases his completely rewritten code, it will hopefully be my everyday launcher again, but for now, this has just taken over
 
hmm, i downloaded it a couple weeks ago and didnt think it was on Dolphin HD's level. Did i miss any features? Sorry not trying to hijack the thread. Proceed with the new launcher discussion. lol

I like the interface a lot better, and the way the tabs work the most. It's simple and quick. i often have 5 or 6 tabs at once going, and the tab management is well done :)
 
I tried Go Launcher and loved the layout, but it would force close after 10 or so seconds every time I opened it. I reinstalled it several times, uninstalled Launcher Pro, tried everything I could think of as a potential conflict, but just couldn't get it to work. I emailed the developer and he wasn't sure either, but said he would get back to me. I know this is a brand new app and I'm sure there's some bugs. Anyone else have serious force close issues with this?

I don't have any force close issue yet. I'm using this launcher and the Desire Z Tom, it is a brand new phone!
 
Just tried it out, and it worked great using Virtuous Rom.

First impressions are that it has a lot of potential. However, isn't very polished yet. Don't like the scrolling feel (doesn't feel smooth like they claim). I'll stick with Launcher Pro, but I'm interested to see how this progresses.
 
only 3 homescreens?
cant find how to change that.
edit: found a way to add more.

cant fit the same widgets in that i have on my other one
edit: found i can change the grid size


seems cool, just a bit new to changing these things lol
 
I have decided to play about with replacement launchers today... tried a few, but this seems the best so far.

My only question, can anyone recommend a suitable widget to switch on/off the internet connection and change the profile? HTC Sense allows you to add widgets to change the internet connection with 1 touch, but the other launchers take me into a settings screen, saying that android doesn't let you change that easily...

Anyone recommend anything?

There's APN Droid. I personally use tasker and create all my custom widgets that way.
