Help New LG G2/Android User - Please Help

Lurker
I've been an iPhone user since they first came out in 2007 and recently made the move over to Android buy purchasing an LG G2 on Sprint. There are so many things I like, but I'm having a hard time with some conveniences that I cannot seem to find solutions for. Anyone who can help with the following issues/items, I would greatly appreciate it!!

1) On the G2, there is a separate Voicemail app and the standard voicemail access is done by dialing "1" on the Phone app keypad. Is there a way to just have visual voicemail (not the text output, just the listing format) in a combined Phone app?

2) I've gotten the phone to buzz and flash the LED light when I receive a text or email when the phone is locked. However, I would prefer to have the screen light up and show me a preview of the item(s) instead. I'm sure there's a widget that can do this, but I've been unable to find one.

3) On the texting note...when I do receive a text and a box appears, my button choices on it are "Remind in 15 mins" and "Close." Surely there's got to be a way to have a "Reply" button on it so I can go directly to the text in the Messaging app.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hmmm, I'll help where I can. On the VM issue, you don't need to dial 1, just use the VVM. You can quick access it by selecting the VM notification. As for turning the screen on when you receive a message, I believe that you need a third party messenger app, or possibly some other kind of third party app. The stock messenger app will not allow this to happen as far as I understand. And lastly, I have never seen the options you speak of for the text message. I usually just select the message from the notification bar and it take straight me into the messenger app.

That's the log. It should be up at the top of the phone app screen.

Depends on whether you have the lock screen set to swipe or you're using a password or PIN. On swipe you can have widgets on the lock screen, and there are widgets to do what you want.

Where are you looking? If it's the notification about the text you're talking about, just tap the notification and you'll be in that text, ready to read it and reply to it.
