new member, old problem (im sure)

Hi there, I just recently got the boost evo 4g design and love it. But I live in a backwoods redneck town and drift between no service, no bars, and one bar. I've looked into some signal boosting apps and found them to be junk, as far as I can tell. I've also looked into some Wilson signal amplifiers and really don't want to pay $120 for an unknown possibly marginal effect. Searched the forums and didn't really find anyone outright asking for suggestions so here's this thread lol. I appreciate any help anyone can offer. Also, I can't get my 4g to activate, I'm just on cdma. Even when I'm in town my 4g refuses capability.

Oops just saw the disclaimer stating this sub-forum is not for support questions. So.... Disregard my query please. I'd like to add that I love my droid. If anyone knows of a duplicate thread offhand dealing with cdma signal issues gimme a link if u don't mind, thanks.

Also look into Sprint giving you an Airvana or Airave unit, which will work off your router and will give you the proper service you need at home, and they will most likely give it to you for free, if you pursue it.
