New metro update?.

Hi everybody I just got the notification for a new update. What is it?. Is it safe to install it?. I'm on stock non rooted so far.

its the 10j update that fixes stagefright. If you aren't planning on rooting or any of that jazz you can just update. If you want to root go to these links:

If I go ahead and update now does it block root if I wish to root my phone at a later time?. I'm wondering. . Thanks for all the help.

Well the last update before this one was locking bootlaoders. not sure about this one. everyone has been using the update provided by GT and DFX. You can read through here to get the info you need.

v10j just patches stagefright same with ZV5 on Boost, and that i have read v10j is still rootable and TWRP flashable as long as OEM unlock is ticked on
