New Moto G Question.

My wife is currently on Metro. I was thinking of surprising her with the Moto G US GSM version. Would she be able to just swap out the SIM card and go? She is currently on the Samsung Admire 4G.

I searched for Moto G in this forum and did not see anything pertaining to my issue and I also searched the main Moto G forum and could not find anything.

Thanks!

No, the Samsung Admire 4G is an old CDMA/LTE phone and the Moto G is GSM. You'll have to get a SIM kit from Metro. You can buy it on-line for about $10 I think. If you tried to get it from a store they'd want to activate it in a phone right then and there.

Metro.com is $10 plus whatever your State sales tax is since they will have a physical business presence in your state. I think they 2 day Fedex'd mine.

It was 10.60 total for me. 0 for on-line activation.

They even send you Both sizes of sim card on the same card.
