Could someone possibly give me some advice on which phone I should get? I have Boost Mobile, and I am happy with it. I have a Galaxy Prevail that I have had quite some time. I really like the phone, it's just time for an upgrade. I thought about switching to get an I-Phone, but I really like my android. Everyone in my family has I-Phones, and they all love them. I have an I-Pad that I love and use all the time. However, I have been really happy with my Prevail as well as my pre-paid plan. I have been looking at the Galaxy Rush, which I know is similar to the Prevail. I have also looked at the Galaxy SII. I am not technically savy, so I don't feel I need anything especially fancy. I should probably stick with something simple. :) I would like to get a nice phone though. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
 
Tough question as it's really horses for courses - the best phone for me may not be the best phone for you :)

If you could give us an idea of your budget and what you use your phone for most, that would probably help.

The SII is a very good phone, though it is getting a little long in the tooth so probably won't be getting Android updates as promptly - or at all - in future (that's not necessarily an issue as it will continue to work just fine).

If you happen to have the cash, the best deal available now (actually, probably the best deal on a smartphone ever) is the Nexus 4 bought direct from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_4_8gb&feature=device-featured#?t=W10). It's a superb phone (I'm slightly biased as I have one) for an unbelievable price and you buy it without a contract so you can either stick with what you've got or shop around for a better - and cheaper - deal.
 
I don't really have a price range. I'm in my 30's, so I don't really keep up with the latest trends in anything, including cell phones. As I said, I'm not very technological, so I don't think I need anything too fancy. When I got my Prevail a couple of years ago, I also looked at I-Phones. My ex said he didn't think I needed an I-Phone. He said it would be like giving a monkey a fork to eat. The monkey may eventually figure out the fork, but he just doesn't need it. I thought that was funny, & probably had some truth to it. He was more than a decade younger than me, so he was up to date on the latest trends in cell phones. I would like to get a phone that is fairly new to the market just because it seems phones become out of date so quickly. I had prefer to have my phone more than a few months before it becomes a relic. I mainly use my phone as a phone. I do use the Internet on it occasionally. I mostly use my I-Pad for that though. I have a desktop as well as a laptop, but I rarely use either. I generally use my I-Pad or phone. I listen to a lot of music on my phone. I am really looking for a phone that I can keep for a couple of years, and not feel it is old & out of date. I would also like something fairly simple to use, not that any of them take a degree in astro physics to use. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I will check out the Nexus 4. What is the newest model out that I can use with my Boost plan? Sorry I am so clueless. Bet you didn't realize how uninformed I would be when you decided to respond to my post. Again, thank you. Hard to keep up with which phone is the latest and greatest. HTC seem to have new phones every other week - I think they released something a couple of weeks ago and they're announcing another couple today. Samsung are due to announce something in about a month .. of course, none of these are available today.

Probably the current 'latest' phones are the Note II and the Nexus 4. They're both excellent, will both easily do what you want, will look 'current' for quite a while and will still be perfectly good in a couple of years.

For me, the Note II is a bit too big, but apparently I'm pretty much on my own with that .. or maybe it's just me and the more petite girls.

The Nexus 4 does undeniably have one huge advantage though: it is unbelievably cheap. SIM-free (i.e. no contract so no subsidy), the 8GB model is $300, the 16GB $350. A Google search just listed it for $50 with a contract.
