how do i transfer contacts etc from my old phone samsung galaxy s2 to my new phone samsung galaxy 4
 
Hello and welcome to Android Forums.

As long as you properly signed in with a Google account on both phones, Google/Gmail will automatically transfer your contacts and settings.

A benefit of being a Google customer.
