new phones

Kinda disappointed. Was hoping to hear rumors of new Boost phones by now to follow up on 4G.

Guess, like the Prevail, it will be 2 months before anything new.

All I've heard is the iPhone 4 may be coming. I heard a rumor that the Samsung Galaxy S 2 may be coming but that was word of mouth.

With the Evo Design 4G being $300 and iPhones being around $400 I think I will stick with my Warp. I never rooted mine and its been great for the 5 months I've had it and still has the largest screen of Boost phones.

You may be able to flash other non-Boost phones if you really want too. I saw a thread topic about it and a few people say it works well. http://androidforums.com/boost-mobile/460042-legit-phones.html

I read that the iPhone will hit most prepaid in Sept. I can respect that the iPhone is a great product but not for me, overpriced.

I am more into the open-source of Android/Linux and customizations available.

Are we going to get a QWERTY 4g Android? Despite the obvious NO I hope so.

The two months or more assesment is about right, if not a bit short.

The Design has not hit store shelves yet. It is only available online at the moment. None of the brick and mortar stores in this area has got them yet. I think they'll hit the stores and simmer for a while and then the next gen phones will come out for Boost.

I'm sure every 4g phone (released after the Design) will make it to Boost since Sprint is really just unloading old stock after rebranding them. I'm sure some manufacturers are going to recycle/recirculate their own phones or Sprint doesn't have a commitment to buy a certain number of units from them.

I feel that the Evo Shift will never make it to Boost. It never really took off on Sprint and its too old of a handset.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

I was good with my OG EVO 4G, but seeing that new officially supported EVO design with Wimax 4G almost has me upgrading.

The EVO Design is $299.

Yeah, a bit much IMO

I wasn't too impressed with the throttling or the data cap and that's 3 strikes.

So, I'll just stick with my OG EVO and this brand new ZTE Warp I just got for 10 bucks.

Looks like our patience is finally paying off.

Boost Mobile to carry the Kyocera Hydro August 3rd for $130`

CDMA only and 512 MB / 2G storage with 1G Snapdragon.

I will prolly wait a bit longer for a slightly higher specced phone, like the intro price of $130.

This on the other hand, has me almost ready to sell one of my other ones.

Waterproof?

I have been flip-flopping on the EVO Design vs. the Galaxy S2 recently but now that Warp Sequent has caught my eye.

I am quite happy that my procrastination has produced results. :D

Yay they made another warp lol, as soon as the kernel source is available I'll talk to Hroark and see if we can fix the phone for them :p

I am really getting the idea that Boost customers are the 'stepchildren' of the pre-paid world.

Not only is the Boost S2 around $70 more than other prepaid but a check on the Boost site shows Battery Type Lithium Ion 1,520mAh when it should have an 1800.

I'm overly disappointed that Boost Mobile has only received the SII in white.

We had received both black AND white demo phones.

I was going to buy one but I do not want a white phone. So nope.

I think we get the short end because Boost is the only carrier that does the shrinkage which will be too perfect if we got the perfect devices and price too.

I just talked to someone regarding the white one online. I wanted a white one but my email receipt said black....The rep said that Black isn't available yet...only the white ones at this time.

Though the black is more appealing, white is prolly more usefull.

I misplace my phone alot and bought a purple case to make it more obvious. White would be a bit more obvious too.
