Root new reason for me to act mental

As of midnight (or so) my android began refusing to charge more than 13%...
no new apps were installed..
i don't think flashing a backup or all the poop i went through for my current configuration can fix it..
has anybody else come across a similar issue with their battery?

do you have a spare battery or an external battery charger?

i left the battery out for 10 minutes and it suddenly reported being 40% charged...when before that it kept shutting off when it was reporting 13%.....
i'm still skeptical ..because that does'nt mean i fixed it...

this phone is a real mystery just sitting still ...i can hold it by the sides and it'll open apps.....
for the longest time i was...if it totally eats the dust ..i can go back to my Zmax...
but, i tried to see if i could fix the charge port and one of the ribbon cable connectors crumbled ..so now i have a box of Zmax ...that still won't charge....
oh well..
but, anywho...leaveing the battery out(a ten year old trick) fixed the issues(?)..
