The New Replaced Galaxy Note 7 units are coming, and you will be able to recognize the fault-free devices by looking at their battery indicator.

Samsung has made a small change to the Note 7 battery indicator icon - which you can usually see at the top right corner of the phone's UI. The battery indicator has been changed from the white on old Note 7 units, to Green on the New upcoming models, so you'll know they include batteries that aren't defective.

Samsung is already shipping new Galaxy Note 7 units to carriers and retailers, and customers should be able to get them starting Monday, September 19.

Looking forward to Next week!!!

Yay! Verizon is still trying to convince me to take my N7 in and swap it but it ain't happening unless I can't get a new one before month end. If all goes well I win. :)

A green battery icon is not enough in my opinion.

How is this being implemented?
What is it that turns the indicator green? A software update? What if a non-ok phone takes the software update and gets a green indicator? What if there is an application in the Play Store that can turn your battery indicator into any color under the sun you want to?

SHHHHH! You're gonna blow this... the recall is almost over and I want my Note 7 back! You trying to delay this whole thing with something as trivial as COMMON SENSE??? :p

:D
Yeah, I guess it is a little unfair because I don't have a horse in the race. I just think it is dumb. A green battery indicator means absolutely nothing as far as the hardware goes and can be replicated via software (root or other application).
My wife's stock Samsung Note 2 (on Android 4.1.1) has a green battery indicator right out of the box...

My Note7 that I exchanged today at my local AT&T store DOES NOT have the new green battery indicator. No software update yet.

Did All Notes get this update including the old ones. I still have my Note 7. There is an update out there. This can backfire if it is to every Note 7. People can put it up for sale saying that it is good and it can be a recalled Note 7.

I think they all have the update, safe ones the battery indicator is changed to green, and the recalled ones will only charge to 60%, along with embedded warnings to stop using it and return it.

"If your battery has the potential problems,"
...that's for the recalled unsafe ones.
