New SD card now what

I just got another Sandisk 32 GB SD card at Walgreen's of all places, for a little less than $18 on sale. The packaging is somewhat different and the top speed claimed is 80 rather than 98. I did as suggested and used the adapter with the PC. The only option besides quick format (boy, was it) was MS DOS. I went with all the defaults, including of course FAT32. It was a lot of fun getting it out of the adapter and into the phone, but once I did it was instantly recognized and I set it up as normal portable storage. The only thing is I'm not sure how to set the save location as SD and transfer whatever's transferrable. Also, is storage additive? Does 16 GB + 32 GB = 48 or not?

Next time, try Walmart..that sdcard will cost about half that price. Never buy electronics at Walgreens (way overpriced)

Seriously, they have 32 Sandisks for maybe $9? That would be a great deal. Meanwhile, I at least figured out how to move videos, photos and mp3s. Is there anything else that can be moved, and how do I set save location to SD? On the Fanfare 2 it's easy, right there. With the Canvas I've looked everywhere I can think of, but nothing.

I have tried to use X-plore to change the save location to SD, but I don't know how. I can change it after a file has been saved to phone storage, but that's clumsy and time wasting. There has got to be a better way. Has 7.0 actually gone to some trouble to make that harder to use?
