Help New Sim, New Sim Holder, NO SIGNAL!!!

I have a samsung galaxy s3, sgh-i747. I tried to attach pictures of all the specs of phone, to no avail... my problem is: cant get signal.... I have added new apn's, factory reset, new sim holder, and I still cant get signal. even used another sim card, brand new, and other old ones....Android version: 4.1.2, baseband version: 1747UCDMG2, kernel version: 3.0.31-1300972 se.infra@SO210-19#2, SMP PREEMPT Mon Jul 8 19:30:05 kst, build number: JZ054K.1747UCDMG2. wifi works great. no error message when sim card is in.

Question who mounted the new sim holder?
And by sim holder you mean the actual metal housing where you insert the SIM chip right?
If you power off remove the sim, power up do you get the error message no sim detected?
Also currently I assume you don't get that message you are just not getting a signal?

The reason I ask is because it sounds more like an antenna problem more than a sim chip problem?? What does everyone else think?

For me I would track down the antenna line and trace to make sure no pinches, cuts, short or disconnects along that part.

In regards to pictures try using an outside picture website and link pictures to that?

I mounted the sim holder, and yes, the metal housing..when powered back on without sim card, message reads, "no sim card/emergency calls only." and I get bars.. with sim card in, I get the symbol, "circle with line thru it". the bars show for < a minute at start up.
as for the pictures, I should have elaborated..the camera works, I just couldnt get pics to site..
