New SMS app LF Feedback

Hey everyone,

Would love some feedback on our new app MessageCube! It is like a normal android messenger with all of the bells and whistles, but we have embedded internet search functionality within texting. Title says everything, but seriously I would love any and all feedback!
I wont spam a link but it is on the play store! just search Messagecube

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum :)

Actually a Play Store link to your app is fine. We're happy to receive notification of new apps from their developers :).

(The ones I'd call spam are the fake recommendations that pretend they are not connected to the app, or the people who post the same app link in 20 different threads. I really don't think anyone could object to a link in your thread).

First off, the privacy link at the Play Store links to your website. But there is no privacy statement there.

Secondly, the permissions required seem excessive. Can you explain?

Thanks.

Thankyou for pointing that out. The privacy statement was a mess-up, it should have never linked back to that page. I am updating now. Also, for the permissions, all of them are inplace to allow the messenger to be able to function as a normal messenger. We prompt the user again in the app to make sure they want to allow access. I.e if you wanted to send a picture, it will ask if it has permission to use the camera. Thankyou again for pointing out the privacy statement thing, because we absolutely do not collect any personal information.
