I'd like to set an audio clip I've created as the "Unlock" sound in Go Locker. My phone is a rooted HTC Incredible 2, running a custom ROM (Andy BoneStock). I started by moving the sound into Device/system/media/audio/ringtones. Once I was back in the prefs for Go Locker I selected Settings/Unlock/Unlock sound/Unlock sound/System ringtones. My new sound didn't show among those listed. I've tried both ogg and mp3 files, stereo and mono. I've tried putting the file one level up, in /audio, and even changed the permissions to match those of the stock ringtones: still no luck. What am I doing wrong?

Verify that you don't have a .nomedia file (you'll need a file manager that has a "view hidden files" option, and enable it). A .nomedia file anywhere in the path will prevent desired files from being found. Using your example, /system/media/audio/ringtones, that means a .nomedia file in any of those folders will cause the issue you are having.
