New tab appeared on screen

This annoying tab - on the left of the screen - has recently appeared. Can you tell how to remove it please?

That's the new multi window feature that allows you to have 2 applications open at the same time on screen. Try it. Open the tab and drag the browser to the bottom of the screen. Then drag something else to the top of the screen....

Anyway, multi window tab can be brought up or hidden by long pressing the back button
