Root New Theme?

I'm not really a big fan of the way that Pantech has themed the phone and i'm looking to replace it. I'm somewhat new to Android though, this is my first phone. Do you have to have a theme built specifically for your phone, or can you flash any theme for Gingerbread on to here? Looking in to the matter I've seen stuff about HDPI and MDPI, but i'm not 100% on which one this phone is.

So does anyone have any info on replacing the theme on the Breakout?

I have gotten a Rom built and ready for a tester or two that has an ice cream sandwich theme. If anyone wants to try it out, pm me and I'll give you a link!

And yes, it has to be device specific. It is hdpi, but they use some icons that are named completely different.
