New to Android and need help playing mp3

I had an iPhone 4G and ditched it for a Mytouch 4G several months ago. I like everything about this android phone better except the fact that I cannot figure out how to get songs from the internet or even a CD onto my phone...I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but it seemed much easier with my iPhone. HELP! BTW- I probably need step by step instructions or suggestions.

Have you tried plugging your phone to the computer with a usb cable? You can transfer songs that way. I use download app on my phone to get music. It's called Music Junk but i'm not sure if its on the market anymore.

Well, the most obvious solution is plug your phone to your computer and choose mass storage mode. Your computer will see your phone's memory card as another flash drive and you can just copy songs to it like a normal thumb drive.
