new to Android bye bye BB....

Hello All;

I just switched from BB and very new to Android os. I got a SGS2.

The first thing I did is to add my POP emails to my google account hoping that it will be a push email speed.

I found out that google is "fetching" the emails in a 1 hour interval! So I am a little disappointed about that.

Do you guys know a way to get real push email speed in gmail?

Gmail is pushed to your phone. Are you using the gmail app or another email app on the phone?

Also check you accounts and sync settings.

Yeah, d/l the official Google Gmail app from the market. It pushes instantly, & has full functionality.

Thanks for the replays;

I am using the Gmail app that comes in my phone.

What I have done is add my POP email to gmail so it "fetches" (I went to settings / accounts and import / check gmail using POP3). So intervals of one hour to get my email....far from longer that what I had with BB.

Sorry if this is too basic but so is my knowledge with this kind of thing...
