New to Android, Emulator/game suggestions?

Just picked up the thunderbolt(LOVING IT) on Thursday and figure its about time i start looking into some more apps/games to pickup. Any suggestions? ton of different emulators and not sure which is the best to purchase(PSX/GBA)

Really loved the Game Dev Story which other then angry birds the only game I've picked up so far.

Thanks in advance for any help :p

Look for FPse as far as Android PSX emulators. Stay as far away from PSX4Droid and all of its volumes and versions. They are poor and they are rarely updated with quality updates. It seems every time the developer fixed one issue he broke a whole slew of features. Any of the emulators by Yonghz are all amazing quality and he is always updating them and adding new features.

They are good enough that I believe he may have made over a million in sales off the Android market on his emulators.

Thanks, i picked up FPSE and it seems to be working real well FPS wise, having no trouble playing FFT :D Freeze up on regular saves tho, can be bypassed with save stats just a weird bug it seems.

Any good ORP or MMORPG type games available on android? lookin around and cant find much in that departement

Pocket Legends has been the most well liked MMORPG we have on Android followed by Dungeon Defenders. Dungeon Defenders is like $4.99 one-time fee and it is a good game. Pocket Legends is an item-mall based mmorpg. It is free to play to level 18 with a valid email and then after that you need to buy maps. They are fairly cheap though and the whole game will run you like 10 dollars to get all the maps, and there is a good amount. The game gets downloaded about 3000 times a day on Android and most people like it.

Its free to start though so you can give it a go before you commit.

Thanks varking, ill check those out. Been a big help getting my gaming side going with this android business! Loaded a few PSX games on, and hopefully i enjoy one of those 2 games and ill have a nice quick week at work lol

Anyone know of anything similar to Game Dev Story?

I suggest picking up snesoid. That is by far my favorite emulator. Some of my favorite games were on the Super Nintendo. UMK3, Super Mario Rpg, Rock & Roll Racing, Donkey Kong, etc.

Please keep in mind that the emulator ROM scene is pretty much built around playing games that you may or not have paid for, and a lot of the popular sites for distributing those ROMs are overflowing with pirated software.

That's a legal issue that really can't afford for our forum to get wrapped up in so I went ahead and removed one such link from the thread. Please do us all a favor and limit the discussion to what emulators work well rather than where to find ROMs. :thumbsupdroid:

Thanks! :)
