Help New to android - questions on software version

Hello! I'm an apple junkie since day one of the iPhone and just couldn't resist the One X so here I am. Couple questions though...

Mine had different English language options, all with Asia countries, I picked Singapore. Is this going to affect anything? Says Play Store rather than Android Market but guessing this isn't a big deal?

My software info is as follows:
Android: 4.0.3
Software number 1.19.707.1
I've seen others post about software 1.26, I've tried running software update but it says I'm up to date. What gives?

I've been getting horrible battery life. I'm talking losing 50% after an hour of use (playing with settings, downloading a couple apps and web browsing). I restarted it earlier today and it feels to be running cooler and a bit better now. Any advice here? I'm wondering if the software version has something to do with this? It's back on the charger for the 3rd time today.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks!

From what I've heard and read, it takes a few charge cycles for the battery to start performing as it should, according to cnet review, there is possible battery 'niggle' that will hopefully be addressed in a future software update. After a few cycles though you should see a marked improvement I'm led to believe, if any current owners of this phone would like to give you some hands on exp with this issue, I'm sure that would help.

The software version is a regional variation and nothing to worry about. As Maverick points out, it just takes a little while for the battery to settle.

Thank you! After the reset last night its doing much better. At 11hrs of light to normal use and battery is at 60%

As for the Play Store. Google changed the name from Android Market to Google Play Store. Everyone's phone says Play Store now. :)
