New tower going up, info needed

I live on the eastern shore of VA and have no network at home. However, there is a new tower going up 2.5 miles from my house (American Tower Corp, Winders Neck). Maybe someone knows how much power is transmitted (CDMA I presume)and how much signal strength I'll have? I'm pretty sure it's a Verizon site, American Tower just lists Type: Monopole. I would sure love to ditch the land line and use the Eris at home.
Also, what's the operating frequency, 1800-1900MHz?
TIA,
SlickRick

I think if you phone *228, you'll be given the option to search for the best signal relative to your location.

*228 and then select the option to update your roaming capabilities. It updates your PRL and you should have the best signal available.

for the last month they've been upgrading a tower across the freeway from my work. Is there anyway to tell what network it is? I never see att trucks or verizon workers. just unmarked white trucks. It's got 3 tiers so im wondering if each tier is for a different network.
