I don't think voice applications and commands will be controlling our phones... What about those in a plane or a train/bus, if they attempted to use voice commands, everyone around them will hear them.
Mostly sounds like sci-fi to me. The thing about "virtual payment systems."...sure when is that going to happen? Most people I know including myself are using real physical cash, sometimes a credit/debit card for large transactions. Hasn't this kind of thing been tried before and has always flopped....something called Mondex wasn't it?
I agree about the increased use of smart phones though, that's kind of obvious, as people upgrade their old phones to newer smarter ones. Most phones now, even the dumb ones, do some kind of voice recognition, nothing really new here.
Probably not, needs an iOS device for a start and it has to be connected to the internet for it to work.
Going to be seeing a lot more of this kind of thing though...
I'm sure 2012 will be the year of the tablet.
General Tablet Talk is going to get extremely busy with things like "Hellllppppp!!!!!!!! I got this cheapo China pad for Xmas and it doesn't work properly!!!"
