Got mine on February 4th, just wondering if the update should apply to mine. Also curious on Cupcake and how to get it ???

New to the phone dont flame to much
 
Hi. The update happens OTA (over the air) so you do not have to do anything to get it. If you go into settings and scroll down to About, you will find your firmware and build type. I think that if your firmware is 1.0 and your build is RC-8 (UK) or RC-32(US) then you have not yet received the update. RC-33 has been going out to phones in the US but as far as I am aware the UK users are still waiting. Sorry don't know about anywhwere else. Hope you enjoy your G1.

There is plenty of speculation about Cupcake but I personally am not going to hold my breathe. :-)
