New user with Email question

I want to be able to check my personal email account from the phone. How can I do this?

Have you tried the email (not gmail) app and put in your IMAP settings?

Which device are you using?

If you just want to use the Gmail App then set up your other addresses to be forwarded to your Gmail Account through the Gmail Webface...settings>accounts and import>check mail using pop3 then add pop3 mail account.
