Help Newbie and need some help

Hi, just joined up because i'm having trouble with "speech to text"(stt) on my Samsung Galaxy Exhilerate. I have had the phone about 6 months now without many issues, until now. I must have changed/deleted some settings? because now the stt isn't working properly. When using stt, I speak and text is recording ok, then pause, then speak again to finish the comment, and it overwrites the first part of the text. It didn't do this before. Also, it is having issues with punctuations like commas, ex marks, periods, etc. It also doesn't seem to recognize as easily as before? I did a factory reset but that didn't help, it just made it frustrating to get my phone back to original state. I do a lot of texting (not while driving, though) and need to get this straightened out. Please help, thank you, bwanatom

Thanks for the welcome. I have been fiddling with the settings on the phone and got it to the point where it is a little better. The main problem right now is that while inputting my voice to text the function 'times out' too quick and I have to re-initiate the speaker Icon to get it to accept voice. If I don't speak continually at a rapid pace, it times out, forcing me to enter the 'speaker' icon again to get it to record. Somebody has got to have some answer to help?
thanks, tom
