Root Newbie here with Bluetooth issues

I have a Maxx HD running 9.1.2 and cannot keep any of my 3 bluetooth headsets to work correctly. They "act" connected but in the middle of calls it transfers back to the phone. I have spoken with V and they say they have never heard of it. I have called Motorola and gotten the same run around. Before the update last summer it worked fine. Will rooting fix this? Is there any other way to fix this?

Rooting just gives you admin access to the operating system, it has nothing to do with the problem you're having.

I get that but if it worked fine back on Ice Cream then my assumption was the update screwed it up. So I was curious if there are ROMs out there that fix this issue or is anyone else having or had the same problems?
