Greets all,
I've searched for answers to the questions below but haven't had any luck so I'm asking politely and hoping not to get flamed

1. Just purchased an LG Optimus Elite and was trying to figure out why the battery life was poor. With WiFi, BT, GPS, Sync and Display off on Power bar..the log activity was through the roof. Just scrolling away.
When I turned all the above elements back on however, the log settled down to the speed that my Optimus V produces... ie slow
Why would the log activity be higher when most HW is disabled? Is all that log activity relating to reporting that those elements are not available?
2. While in the log, I see a recurring block of text noted below:
I/dun_service( 118): received event: DUN_EVENT_USB_UNPLUG
I/dun_service( 118): received event(DUN_EVENT_USB_UNPLUG) in state(DUN_STATE_USB_UNPLUG)
I/dun_service( 118): Ignoring the event DUN_EVENT_USB_UNPLUG in USB_UNPLUG_STATE
I/dun_service( 118): Moved to state(DUN_STATE_USB_UNPLUG)
What is this please? Initially I thought it was keeping my device from sleeping but now I'm not sure. I've seen it elsewhere on the net and people paste it into posts, but I've never seen an explanation of what it is and why it's constantly produced. I have to assume it's innocuous otherwise I would have found posts detailing what it is and how to fix it.
