Newbie: MX Android TV Box

I have just purchased this MX Android TV Box, dual core Jelly Bean everything works fine, it is all set up now. However, the userguide which came with it is useless, is very basic and translated from Chinese into English.

It does not give me the information I need, which is below:

I simply want to use this an an XBMC box, and nothing else. I want to
(a) delete all other apps and
(b) add a link to XBMC on to the welcome screen fore easy access

Can this be done? If so can anyone give me links to details online or if not too much trouble on this forum. Thanks.

Certain apps you can delete. Their really should not be an issue if apps are still on it, xbmc should run fine. I have not used one with frodo in a while. These are great devices for xbmc use only. I do not have any frodo boxes around, but I will play around with one in gotham and see if I can make a link or shortcut on the opening screen. It should be the same process if doable.
