Newbie-- on the steep part of the learning curve

Howdy,

Smartphone newbie-- Finally got a Galaxy S2-- Sprint Flash. Basically I'd like to keep the same contact database, calendar, and possibly my Open Office documents and spreadsheets accessible and synchronized between my Galaxy S2, Win 7 laptop, and a Win XP Pro. I'm thinking Google programs-- but no experience.

So what is the simplest and inexpensive way to accomplish this? I'm hanging on to this learning curve cliff by my fingernails!

For contacts and calendar use your Google account. For documents Dropbox or Google Drive. 2GB on Dropbox is free and anyone with a Google account automatically has 5GB free on Drive. You might also look into FolderSync or DropSync.
