Newbie question re. upgrading TV Box from SD card.

I have an early Android TV Box.This is the box it came in.

It has no maker's name and I can't find any identifiers on it. It runs Android 2.2 and the instructions say system upgrade must be done from the SD card. I'd like to know if there is a compatible upgrade I could apply and where I could find it please.

Very strange that there's no any logo. Is there any identifiers on the product(not the package)??
