Newbie question: What are these icons?

Hi
We have just bought a Samsung Tab4.

At the top left of the home screen several icons are magically appearing ie

Downward facing arrows with a bar at the bottom (download?)
A folder with a tick
A folder without a tick

What are they and more importantly what do we do about them?

in the notification bar.. these icons.. are they on the left or right side?

can you do a screenshot and post it? have you looked in the manual?

I am guessing you have tried to .. "pull down" the notification bar.. and see what it says.

1. Sorry, but as I said in the first post, this forum doesn't allow new users to post screenshots.

2. They appear top, LEFT of the screen. Right at the very top of the screen. Starting at the top left corner.

Pull down the notification bar. Basically swipe down from the top of the screen. A dropdown screen will be shown with full notification descriptions and you can click them to take you to those apps. There will also be toggles in there.

Not sure about the packaging in your country, but usually these kinds of basic info are in the manual.
