Newbie-questions about gmail-app.

I have two problems with the Gmail-application.

First, sometimes I see a picure in an emailmessage from a previous email.
I can't see the right picture which comes with the message. These pictures do not have the same filename (otherwise it might be a cache-problem). Does somebody else have these same problems?

Second, I use my Gmail-account to retrieve my Hotmail-messages and label them as such.
If I tell my Gmail-application to NOT synchronise the emails with the hotmail-label, it does it anyway. In other words, I still get my Hotmails (with hotmail-label). How can?

By the way, I use Android 1.5 cupcake.

Only thing I can think of is because the message is unread and in the inbox it gets synchronized. I think that turning off of synching certain labels doesn't apply to things in the inbox that are unread.

So you could change the filter in gmail to archive your hotmail email immediately so that it skips the inbox.

Thanks for the reply Punkzanyj,

I've just tested your first suggestion but without results. The read email is synchonised as well (as being read).

Second suggestion, archiving is not really an option. I want to quickly check both email-accounts and I think I would forget the emails that are archived.

Now I use Android 1.6 (Donut) and I have noticed something.
When I sync from within the Gmail-application all goes well (the emails with Hotmail-label are NOT synchronized). However, when I use the overall sync-option, the label is ignored and my hotmails are synchronized aswell.

I have not tested the sync-option from within the Gmail-app. with android 1.5 so maybe this was allready the case.
