I've consulted this forum for solutions to my android problems many times previously but only up until now have registered.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S and this is my only android device.
Have not yet upgraded the stock firmware. Is curretly on Froyo 2.2.1.
Friends have informed me I can upgrade to Gingerbread via software updates but this always comes up with 'none available'.
Have looked into rooting the phone and installing upgrade this way. Also having trouble with 'KIES' and aware that there are many problems with this. Have tried various methods to enable the program but to no avail.
Can anyone suggest the best ways for me upgrade to Gingerbread and get Kies to work?
