OK, I don't know what is out here to benefit me or what I have to benefit you, but I will first state I purchased my HTC Hero three years pasted.
I can't say I am completely happy with it. My fat fingers have lead me to consider a slide-out keypad. I currently cover to many characters while MSG'ing. I have experienced installing apps that runaway and drain batt life, so much so I reset to manufactured settings. Been careful since then. There are apps I don't use (some HTC) would like to get rid of them, but uncertain of outcome, any advice while be helpful. What is ObexService and it's use?

OBEX is OBject EXchange, for making transfers over bluetooth.. is your bluetooth turned on? if you don't use any bluetooth devices you can turn that off and save some battery.

as for a slide out keyboard, i'm not sure which service provider you have but i'm using the LG Enlighten with Verizon and I love it.
