NewsRob (Google Reader / RSS): If you are an RSS junkie, this is it.

If you use Google Reader at all (which is a fantastic way to organize your favorite news and blogs into categories), Newsrob is an excellent app to keep you synced. The Pro version is ad free and contains a few goodies such as an unread count widget, but the free version is extremely feature rich on it's own.

The app lets you download up to 1000 articles at a time and fully customize which contain to grab so as to potentially save you storage space and battery. You can set it to refresh with new articles based on timed increments, or only when you are connected to wi-fi. Theres basically a good number of ways to customize what and when to download your content, but the bottom-line is that it's fairly intuitive and makes for a great reading experience on your phone. The interface transitions from category to sub category smoothly, and the refresh and "mark as read" buttons at the top are easy to use.

My only complaint is there is currently no option to only sync with certain feeds, thus if you subscribe to a feed that releases lots of articles, they will be overrepresented in your list of downloads. The only way to remedy that might be to remove that feed altogether from your Google Reader.

Developer Mariano Kamp has made a great app and his blog can be found here
