Nextel i1 with Android 1.5+

I suppose many of you have already heard about the new smart phone to be released by sprint for nextel some time in the next few weeks. This phone is already available for Boost at best buy, and from ebay if you want to pay the premium price for a pre-release unit or where ever they come from.

My question is, do you think most of these apps will run on this phone?

How do you find out if they will?

Somehow the android 1.5+ system has been modified to work with the Direct connect and it will never be upgraded or not right away anyway.

I bought the phone 2 weeks ago! It is really cool and also for someone like me using an Android Smart Phone. What I love is the new Swype | Text Input for Screens typing method. Review it. Regarding apps? I have the concern that I am from Mexico, so no may apps are available to buy. That is why I am searching web pages like this one to see hot to handle new apps.
