Help Nexus 4 not picking up any sim card after software update

BMG

Lurker
Hi,

I have a serious issue with my nexus 4. I updated to 4.3 on the weekend and when the phone restarted there was no network at all. I tried another sim and nothing. The phone will not even see that there is a sim in it. It doesn't even say (no sim). Just nothing. I did a cache wipe and a factory reset and it still wont see any sim. It was working perfectly before I updated!! I contacted google and they are bloody useless and don't give a crap. I am seriously disappointed with them.

Anyone got any ideas on what I can try. Basically the phone is useless now.

Thanks

Did you update with fastboot? Did you flash the proper radio? Who is the carrier?

I'm seeing 5.1.1 is the most current firmware available. Do you have an affinity for Kit-Kat?

Hi - I am on ee in the UK. I didnt use fastboot (not sure what that is). Didnt flash the radio, just hit the "update now" button and that was it.

I tried upgrading to 4.3 again and after about 30 secs I get an error - robot on its back saying "error"...it wont go any further. Something is seriously wrong.

How do i flash 5.1.1?

Cheers

Oh boy. Kind of early (or late) for you isn't it?;) I don't know much about EE. I am shocked that they are just releasing this update (it's your carrier, not Google, that pushes updates btw). Let me do some looking.

Hoping you have a Windows computer. Download Wugs. See if it will get it fixed for you.

Champion - downloaded Wugs and updated to the newest version and now I have signal. Magic! Thanks so much, a real life saver
